Condor Cares
GMA Kapuso Foundation
Assorted vegetable seeds were donated to GMA Kapuso Foundation to support the organization’s various school-based projects nationwide. Through this partnership, we were able to reach far areas like Kidapawan City and Quezon. Students and parents of Binibitinan Elementary School (Quezon) and Sumahayon Elementary School (Kidapawan) learned planting and gardening skills that would in turn help communities secure their own food sources.
Knowledge Channel Foundation
Through Knowledge Channel Foundation’s (KCFI) EcoProject: Kilos Kabataan sa Kapaligiran Program, we were able to reach over thirty schools in the cities of Marikina and Quezon. Seeds were turned over to the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Marikina. Planting activities which heavily encouraged the students to learn about the importance of farming and agriculture were done and monitored regularly.
Gulayan sa Paaralan – Lawang Bato Elementary School
ABC supports the Department of Education’s initiative to encourage and instill in school children the habit of planting green leafy vegetables both at home and the school backyard. The Gulayan sa Paaralan program provides an opportunity for public schools to establish gardens and create a readily available source of vegetables to support good health. Through this collaborative effort, we can nurture sustainability within communities and help mitigate malnutrition within families.
Urban Farmers
ABC believes that farming should also be done in the city. Our partnership with Urban Farmers PH provides an avenue to showcase our vegetable and flower varieties particularly our sunflowers in the middle of the bustling metropolitan. Aside from the seeds, we were also able to turn over crop care products to ensure that the crops can grow as healthy as possible.
Last March 23, we were able to showcase our Sunbright Kids sunflowers during UF’s Eat Your Garden activity.
